Jersey 1st was founded by tax policy lawyer and advocate Rosemary Becchi in 2018 with the mission of advocating for economic and social policies in the best interests of New Jersey families and businesses. Jersey 1st recognizes the pivotal timing to enact change in New Jersey and is doing so through strong grassroots organization, targeted advocacy, effective fundraising, innovative policy creation, and the implementation of a strong multi-media campaign.
Focusing on the key pillars of business, community, education, and financial, Jersey 1st is committed to making New Jersey a better place to work, learn, live, and retire.
Additionally, Jersey 1st’s summer intern program strives to empower and educate the young professionals of New Jersey and provide them experience in policy- making, advocacy, and research. By working in various areas, such as social media, legal and political research, and grassroots advocacy, interns gain an enriching experience that better prepares them to serve the people of New Jersey.
